It was worth every cent.  My guide greeted me with a big smile at the airport, and when he asked if I was a Star Wars fan, I showed him my little star wars tattoo and he was very pleased.

He was more than happy to take me to an ATM to get some cash, and pick up some water for the trip.

His knowledge of not only Star Wars, but dates and facts regarding the country and it’s history was amazing.

And to top it off, he knew I wasn’t interested in being approached by locals trying to sell camel rides or to pet the fennec foxes, so he told them all to politely leave whenever they started hassling.

The highlights were Sidi Idriss – I said to my guide that it’s a shame that the dining room isn’t where Luke’s dining room was filmed – and he quietly arranged for us to have our dinner in there!  What an awesome surprise.  Secondly, the 4WD tour through the desert was great.  I didn’t expect to be swooping through the hills and climbing the steep sides as if I was in a pod race.

I would recommend Mosaic to anyone wishing to take the tour.  I told my guide that I need to come back with some friends and introduce them to it!

Thank you again for arranging the tour for me, I am glad that I made the pilgrimage all the way from Australia to say I’ve finally been to Tatooine.
