Customer Review – Jacob

There were a handful of highlights: staying at the guesthouse in Kairouan and the Medina was great, going through the Sahara and seeing the oasis’, the iconic Lars igloo, and standing where Luke was, but mainly the stay in Sidi Driss in Matmata. Staying in the homestead was almost like you were really in the movie, and I absolutely want to go back for another stay.

Nadhem (my driver & guide) was incredible! He was very kind and informative everywhere we went. He made sure that I was informed of cultural norms and the areas we were at, that I was safe, and never had to worry and I was relaxed.  He even took me to see his hometown and the Mediterranean Sea.

As far as recommending this trip; I would, but only to avid Star Wars fans that are seasoned travelers. Especially since the trip was pricey, and requires a lot of work to get in and out.

Although covid made entry and exit extra complicated, the process was very daunting and stressful. All the paperwork, getting pulled aside in Istanbul before being allowed to check-in, the random covid test, getting pulled aside by the passport control to review everything on entry, and having my bag rummaged through while leaving. These are things your company can’t control…

I don’t want it to sound overly negative. I genuinely want to come back, as I said before, to stay in Sidi Driss, and to explore other parts of the country. The food was also amazing and was almost impossible to finish dinner, and the people were very kind and generous.
